ALL FULL CONTACT AND PADDED DIVISIONS PLEASE NOTE:

Compulsory (all adults)

Male: mouth guard, groin guard

Veterans: mouth guard, groin guard, head guard & shin/instep protector (provided by competitor) chest protector & gloves (provided by AKKA)

Female :mouth guard, chest protector*

Optional (adults – 5th kyu & under)

Compulsory (juniors – all grades)

as per adults plus head guard & shin protector

* NB only “soft” type breast protectors are permitted and must not cover the solar plexus – these can be provided by AKKA. All protectors must be approved prior to the bout. Any female competitor fighting with an unapproved breast protector will be disqualified.
